COLLABORATIVE WORK

RISING MUSICAL
Rising is an original musical I co-wrote, co-directed, and co-produced in high school, created in response to the pervasive culture of silence surrounding sexual assault in the entertainment industry. The show combined bold storytelling, original music, and ensemble-driven choreography to illuminate how young artists navigate truth-telling, trauma, and justice. Developing Rising taught me how to lead with both emotional clarity and structural vision—and sparked my enduring commitment to using art as a form of resistance and repair.

PROJECT JANE
Under the direction of Monica Payne, I helped devise Project Jane, a gripping ensemble-based play exploring the legacy of a real underground abortion clinic run by women in the 1970s. Through intergenerational storytelling and layered time structures, the piece examined the past, present, and future of reproductive freedom and the radical power of collective care. Developed in the wake of Dobbs v. Jackson, Project Jane brought urgency, tenderness, and political clarity to the question of who gets to own their body.

ONLY MIRACLES
Created in collaboration with director Dodd Loomis and presented at the historic Touro Synagogue, Only Miracles is a documentary theater piece rooted in the lived testimonies of Holocaust survivors. The play centered on Ed and Helen Lefkowitz, whose love endured forced labor and terror in Soviet gulags, culminating in the miraculous birth of their daughter Rose. This piece allowed me to blend historical research with intimate character work, crafting a theatrical tribute to survival, memory, and the human capacity for love in impossible circumstances.

MTFxR GARAGE
In 2025, I was selected for Musical Theatre Factory’s MTFxR Garage, a prestigious creative laboratory exploring the intersection of musical theatre and extended reality. Over six days, I collaborated with visionary director Shariffa Ali to help devise a post-climate crisis musical set aboard a ship navigating a flooded world. The immersive piece invited audiences into a simulated maritime environment, where they encountered characters wrestling with displacement, scarcity, and care. By merging XR technology with live performance, the work became a meditation on compassion, humanity, and what we choose to save when everything seems lost.
